Our History
Since 1967, Artex electric has served the Four States Area. Now in it’s second generation of leadership under David and Michael Peavy, we are proud to introduce you to our company.

We are the AR-LA-TEX Premier Electrical Contracting and Service Company. Our skilled craftsmen’s can be found daily installing, upgrading or repairing electrical services in schools, industrial settings, offices, retail stores, and many homes throughout the area.

We have been proud and accredited member of the Better Business Bureau since 1994. Artex Electric added a new branch to their company in 2000 with the addition of Service First Electrical Pro. It is now the #1 Electrical Service Contractor in the AR- LA-TEX. Both divisions of the company have won state and national awards. From multi-story education buildings, to multi-million dollar industrial plants, to home repairs and additions, Artex electric/Service First Pro is the area leader in Electrical Construction and Service.

In 1998, Artex Electric was recognized and presented the Award of Excellence by the Associated Builders and Contractors for an electrical industrial project at the Tyson Plant in the Texarkana area. In 2006 Artex Electric was recognized and presented the award for Top Specialty Contractors for “ Honest Pricing and Professionalism.” Most recently, we were presented the Better Business Bureau Torch Award as the Best Small Business in the AR-LA-TEX

In the late 1980’s, Artex Electric started the first merit shop apprenticeship training for electricians. Artex provides the most opportunities for apprentices in their area and has more students in class and certified with the state of Texas and Arkansas than any other electrical contractor in the AR-LA-TEX. Providing the best training, materials and equipment for their electricians has been paid off as some of the largest and more complex projects in the area have been completed by Artex Electric.
